Mechanism – How it works

EcoDifesa substance which will perform a catalyst function after absorbing the energy of light. Photocatalyst will perform a catalyst function to form holes and electrons after absorbing the energy of light. The holes in photocatalyst oxidize the oxygen and electron oxidizes the water molecules in the atmosphere to form strong oxidation reactants; hydroxyl (OH) and superoxide (O2) ions. These ions decompose organic pollutants to harmless substances. The surfaces with Ecodifesa become self-disinfecting and decompose microbes like bacteria, viruses, airborne mould spores, and chemical compounds like VOCs.
